The group of birds called Waterfowl includes ducks, geese and swans. They are great swimmers with medium to large bodies. They are a source of food to humans. They provide meat and eggs. They are also hunted as game. Sometimes, they are kept as pets, especially domesticated duck and geese.

The biggest waterfowl is the Trumpeter Swan. It is about 1.82m (6ft) long. It has a wingspan of 3m (10ft) and weighs about 17.3 kg (38lb). Now that’s big!
