The Placozoans are amazing animals. They are very simple creatures, which ooze slowly over surfaces looking for food. They live in warm seas all over the world.
Only two species of Placozoan have ever been described. One of them, Trichoplax Reptans, has never been seen again since it was “discovered”, so most scientists don’t believe it ever existed. This leaves Trichoplax Adhaerens as the world’s only (and so largest) Placozoan.
